How does it work?
If a visitor wants to get your free download, they simply click on your “Pay with…”-Button. It is an extremely simple process, in which your chosen text – promotional message about your company or product – gets posted to their social media channels.
Your advertising message starts spreading across social media and your user receives their download. Your company, product, or idea can spread virally and the user can use it repeatedly for their downloads.
And the best yet! There are absolutely no advertising popups occurring on our module. The module is on your server and you have all the control! Its so easy!

How to install and configure the Viral TURBO Charge module for Joomla
1. Login and go to the extensions manager
To install your Subscribe for a Download module, navigate to Extension Manager from the Extensions menu in the administration of your Joomla site.
2. Uploading the Module
Then using the Browse button, find the mod_viralturbo.zip file, select it and click on Upload and Install.
The installation of the Viral TURBO Charge module is now complete!
3. Finding the Module
Now navigate to the Module manager in the administration of your site. To quickly find the module you can type Viral into the filter and then click search.
Click on the title to start setting up your module. The Module is by default titled Viral Turbo and is set to unpublished. Click on the title to start setting up your module.
4. Publishing the module
- You can set the module status to Published.
- Next give the title of your module an appropriate name if Viral Turbo is unsuitable to your needs.
- You may Hide or Show the title of the module by selecting the appropriate radio button.
- Next select a position from the drop down box, that you want the module to be placed in.
- Click on the down arrow and choose a position for the template being used.
5. Module Social Options :
• You can assign a module class Suffix to the Viral TURBO module in order to add your own css styling
• You also need to choose the social media you wish to use for this instance of the module.
Note: You can run multiple Viral TURBO modules at the same time!
The next steps require that you fill out the details for the social media selected in step 5.
Setting up Twitter
Module Image: include an absolute path for the image you would like to use as part of the heading of the module eg: www.yourwebsite.com/images/viralTURBO.jpg . If you do not require an image you can just leave this field blank.
Please note that this module works best with jpg and png images.
Your Download URL: This will be the absolute path to the file that will be available to the user after a message or a post.
Your Tweet Text: Place your message in this field. Don’t forget its Twitter so your message can only contain up to 140 characters!
Your Webpage URL: Add your webpage address in this field making sure that you have spelt everything correct!
Show Counter: Want to know and show how many people have downloaded your file for a tweet?
Select “Yes” here and a counter will be shown at the bottom of your module with the number of downloads made.
Setting up Facebook
App ID: You will need to enter your facebook application ID/API Key in this field. For more information concerning Facebook Apps visit : https://developers.facebook.com/apps
FB Image URL: include an absolute path for the image you would like to use as part of the Facebook post that will be shared by the user eg: www.yourwebsite.com/images/viralTURBO.jpg.
If you do not require an image you can just leave this field blank.
FB Caption: You can add in a title caption for the post that will be shared in this field.
FB Description: In here you can place your complete message that you want to spread through social media !
Module Image: include an absolute path for the image you would like to use as part of the heading of the module eg: www.yourwebsite.com/images/viralTURBO.jpg . If you do not require an image you can just leave this field blank .
